Ben Bohr is a WSOC alumnus, having attended the school from Kindergarten through eighth grade, and is now the proud parent of two students in the elementary grades. He joined the Board of Trustees in 2023 and currently serves as Chair, having previously served as Treasurer and Vice Chair. Ben brings a broad business background spanning economic consulting, e-commerce operations, product management, and learning and talent development. He currently serves as Senior Vice President of Operations at a healthcare technology company.

Sharon Diaz is a WSOC parent and commercial artist. She is a seasoned commercial artist with 29 years of experience. As a business owner for 17 years, she has directed teams of artists on projects for Disney, Hyundai, and Honda. Currently, she holds a position as a Flame Artist for Swing Set Productions. In her current position, she is responsible for the finishing editorial on commercials for clients such as Hyundai, Genesis, Kia, and El Pollo Loco. Since 2017, Sharon has been a WSOC parent. She has held the position of room rep. for her child’s Pre-K, K, and 1^st grade years. Currently, she supports the current room rep. by handling the financials and teacher gifts. With a strong commitment to WSOC, Sharon strives to engage with the community.

Kim Eijpen teaches earth science and biology in grades 9-12. She is a native of Scotland and moved to California in 2007. Kim graduated with a B.Sc. in Physical Geography from the University of Glasgow and continued on to graduate studies at the University of Alberta, Canada, and the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Kim is passionate about geology, geography, nature, and the environment, and loves to share that enthusiasm with students both in the classroom and out in the field. She has spent many years studying glaciers and glacial environments in High Arctic Canada, Iceland, Nepal, the Canadian Rockies, Scotland, and Ireland. Kim first learned of Rudolf Steiner while studying for a diploma in Naturopathy in Scotland. She has been a parent at WSOC since 2008. Kim graduated from the WSOC Advanced Studies program in 2018 and from the High School Teacher Education Program at the Center for Anthroposophy in New Hampshire in 2019.

Kati brings extensive experience in finance, investments, strategic planning, and risk management to her role on the Board of Trustees. She is a Partner and serves as Chief Investment Officer at Penserra Global Investors, an institutional asset manager focused on international equity investing. She has previously served on the boards of two other Waldorf schools, giving her strong insight into Waldorf governance practices. Kati is committed to building trust, supporting clear governance structures, and ensuring the school's long-term sustainability. She is the mother of four children—three Waldorf alums and one current student at WSOC—giving her a deep and personal connection to the school community.

Andrea Hubert is the main lesson teacher for the class of 2031. She was born in Austria and raised in Germany, where she earned a master’s degree in business management before moving to the United States in 1992. Her two sons are both WSOC Alumni, having graduated in 2015 and 2016, respectively. Andrea worked in the early childhood department and handwork program, served as a Board member and on Parent Association leadership, and completed Anthroposophical Foundation Studies in 2006. Her deep appreciation for the gifts of a Waldorf education led her to re-enroll in the WSOC Advanced Studies program, which she completed in 2013. She previously graduated WSOC’s class of 2022, serving as their main lesson teacher from grades 1-8.

Nona McConville has been a treasured member of the WSOC community for decades, offering steady leadership, creativity, and care through her long service as Store Manager and Buyer for The Company of Angels. Joining the store in its early years, Nona played a central role in shaping it into a warm and welcoming space that reflects the spirit and values of our school. Under her stewardship, The Company of Angels became not only a beloved gathering place for families but also an important source of support for the school, contributing to key programs and initiatives over the years. Known for her thoughtful curation, quiet dedication, and deep commitment to community, Nona’s impact continues to be felt throughout campus life. Now retired from her day-to-day role, Nona remains an active and valued member of our community as a member of the Board of Trustees.

Alexander is a 2014 graduate of WSOC. After graduating from WSOC High School, he completed his undergraduate studies at Chapman University and later attended Loyola Law School in Los Angeles.

After passing the California Bar, Alexander spent several years at a major U.S. law firm representing Fortune 500 companies in litigation across the country. Today, he serves as in-house counsel for a major medical device manufacturer.

Alexander volunteers as a member of the Board of Trustees, where he draws on both his Waldorf education and professional experience to support the school’s commitment to developing graduates who embrace the future as engaged global citizens. 

With a deep commitment to Waldorf education and service to the school community, Sara Rodelo brings a wealth of pedagogical expertise and institutional knowledge to the Board. A fully trained Waldorf teacher, she successfully guided a class through the grades, cultivating strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues while upholding the heart of the Waldorf curriculum. Throughout her tenure, Sara played a vital role in school governance and leadership, serving for many years on the College of Teachers, Leadership Circle, and the Board of Trustees, helping to steward the pedagogical direction of the school and support faculty development. With her rich experience in classroom teaching, her understanding of child development, and her long-standing familiarity with the school’s culture and community, Sara is dedicated to ensuring that the school continues to flourish while honoring its traditions, values, and future vision.

Kim Sava is a Payroll Analyst at the Coast Community College District, which includes Orange Coast, Golden West, and Coastline Community Colleges, and has over twenty years of experience in non-profit accounting. She is also the proud parent of three Waldorf alumni students. Additionally, Kim served as the Business Manager at WSOC from 2007-2016.

Gina Illes joined the WSOC community as a parent in 2001. Her two daughters attended WSOC from pre-K through high school, graduating in 2016 and 2018. From 2007 to 2018, Gina served as WSOC’s School Administrator, developing a deep understanding of the school and its community. She is delighted to bring her longstanding commitment to Waldorf education, along with her extensive institutional knowledge and experience, to the WSOC Board of Trustees.
