Annual Giving Program

 

The Annual Giving Campaign plays an essential role in our ability to provide quality Waldorf Education. Tuition alone does not cover the cost of the outstanding program that we offer at Waldorf School of Orange County. Not all Waldorf schools offer two foreign languages, for example, or full eurythmy, strings and woodworking programs. While our College of Teachers, Board of Trustees and staff are prudent with the governance and running of our school, we depend on additional contributions to maintain a balanced budget.

Waldorf School of Orange County (WSOC) comprises a diverse community welcoming families of every race, religion, creed and income range. Our goal is to insure that the acceptance of a child into our school is not dependent on the financial resources of the child's family — a concept that was important to Rudolf Steiner from the conception of Waldorf education. WSOC's Accessible-To-All tuition adjustment program is supported through Annual Giving, and is a critical social and economic component to the overall wellbeing of the school through which the cultural emphasis of the school is enriched and enlivened.

WSOC continually strives to expand our programs while keeping tuition levels reasonable. Annual Giving provides unrestricted support for the school's operating budget.

The following ways of giving all contribute to our Annual Giving program.

 

Commemorative Gifts are a wonderful way to remember someone special while providing unrestricted support to benefit current and future students.

 

Matching Gifts increase the size of your gift through the use of corporate matching gift programs. If you work for a company with a matching gift program, we invite you to support WSOC by filling out the form available in your company’s personnel office and enclosing it with your gift.

 

Gifts of Stock enable donors to contribute far more to the school than would otherwise have been possible. Long-term appreciated stock gifts may entitle you to an income tax deduction while allowing you to avoid the capital gains tax that would have applied had you sold the stock. Please consult with your personal financial advisor for details.

 

 

All donations are tax deductible. Waldorf School of Orange County is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) educational corporation (EIN 33-0275108), serving preschool through high school in Orange County.
